Nottingham Queer Arts Collective

Bringing together LGBTQIA+ artists of all disciplines from in and around Nottingham

Wednesday 30 October

Nottingham Playhouse

7pm

The Nottingham Queer Arts Collective’s mission is to bring together LGBTQIA+ artists of all disciplines from in and around Nottingham to appreciate, liberate, and support our community and art. We do this by facilitating an on-going sharing of our resources, time and creativity, whether new or established in our practise, and celebrating the wonderful lives we live and art we create.

For October’s event we welcome Nottingham Shakespeare Company’s Michelle-Louise Wright

Nottingham Shakespeare Company specialises in quality Shakespeare for everyone by making their performances accessible and entertaining to those unfamiliar with the Bard as well as utter Shakespeare nerds and everyone in between. The company is accessible too, incorporating disabled, LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent professionals. Actor/Director Michelle-Louise Wright has led the NSC since its inception in 2018 and has directed and acted in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, Much Ado about Nothing, and appeared for guest directors in Romeo and Juliet and The Winter’s Tale. Michelle-Louise has trained with both Shakespeare’s Globe and the RSC in active approaches to Shakespeare and has 20 years of teaching experience in Drama and English.
