Creative Art Sessions For Young LGBTQIA+ People

At Base51’s OUTBURST programme

Wednesday 30 Sep, 7 & 14 October

The Carousel

4-7pm

OUTBURST is Base51’s LGBTQIA+ group for young people aged 11-21 years old to have a safe space to be themselves. OUTBURST takes place weekly at The Carousel in Hockley, but for 3 weeks and in partnership with Queer Up Duck! we’re providing free creative art sessions exploring what it means to be LGBTQ+.

Working with experienced facilitator Alma Soltarte-Tobon, we’ll explore ways of making art that reflects identity and what it means to be a young LGBTQ+ person in Nottingham. All materials will be provided and we encourage attendees to join in the wider OUTBURST programme on the evening.

Artworks created across these 3 sessions will form part of an exhibition hosted at The Pride Shop!

This project has been funded by The Spencer Trust and Nottingham City Council.
